Bicol University R&D Journal Guidelines for Authors

The BU R&D Journal is accepting contributions from BU and non-BU faculty members, students, and researchers whose research fall within the scope of the journal. The journal aims to disseminate research findings and recommendations along the fields of education, science and technology, social sciences, arts and literature, economics and management, engineering and information technology, among others. All papers submitted are subjected to a double- blind peer review process.

The journal does not accept papers that have been either published or accepted for publication or are under consideration for publication in other journals. Paper submitted must be an original research undertaking, completed within the last three years, that can contribute to the existing published knowledge.

Articles submitted for publication in the journal are given unbiased and objective assessment. Evaluation is based on scientific contribution without regard to gender, religion, or political belief of the author/s. Paper submitted is treated confidential until they are published.

Articles that require permission from institutional committees such as the Institutional Ethics Review Board, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Institutional Biosafety Committee and the like will have to submit along with the manuscript a certification that such permit was secured prior to the conduct of the research. Likewise, any conflict of interest among authors should be disclosed at the time of submission.

Authors should use proper citation and should not use without attribution the text, concepts, data, figures, or tables published by others or by themselves. Plagiarism is a serious violation of ethics and will not be allowed.
